Live at Rolling Stone: Watch Butch Walker’s Acoustic Set
Butch Walker, “one of America’s best singer-songwriters,” according to Rolling Stone ’s review of latest disc I Liked It Better When You Had No Heart , recently stopped by the RS offices to perform a stripped-down set of songs from the album with bandmate Fran Capitanelli. Walker, whose producing credits include Pink, Katy Perry and Dashboard Confessional, says his next project will be sessions with Norwegian rocker Ida Maria , who broke out last year with a song whose title isn’t very different from his own lengthy album name — “I Like You So Much Better When You’re Naked” — and played her own Live at Rolling Stone set . He admitted his gig working on Weezer’s Raditude was “surreal and a lifelong fantasy,” and says he doesn’t have any immediate plans to work with Taylor Swift again despite their team-up at the Grammys on “You Belong With Me.” Butch Walker and the Black Widows are on tour with Train until the middle of April and kick off a headlining trek in May. The overhaul could help create jobs. “But the legislation also means tax hikes, mainly on the highest-income Americans. And provisions designed to curb healthcare costs probably aren’t strong enough to put a big dent in medical inflation – or federal budget deficits” (Trumbull, 3/24). The Wall Street Journal offers one example of how those taxes will affect companies in other sectors: “Caterpillar Inc…
